🥜 Pecan Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
For the Dough
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon instant yeast
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup warm milk
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
For the Filling
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
½ cup chopped pecans
Optional Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tablespoons milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Make the dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add the warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead: Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5–8 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
First rise: Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Prepare the filling: Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together.
Roll out the dough: Roll the dough into a rectangle, approximately 12 × 18 inches. Spread the softened butter evenly over the surface, then sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture and chopped pecans.
Shape the rolls: Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Cut into 10–12 equal pieces.
Second rise: Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving a little space between them. Cover and let them rise for another 30–45 minutes.
Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Make the glaze: Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Adjust the milk to reach your desired consistency.
Finish: Let the cinnamon rolls cool for a few minutes, then drizzle generously with the glaze.
✨ Pro Tip
For extra-soft and gooey cinnamon rolls, avoid overbaking them. Serve them warm while the filling is still deliciously gooey! 🤤🥜
