🥐 Soft & Gooey Homemade Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese Frosting 🤍✨

Ingredients
For the Dough
4 cups (500 g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (240 ml) warm milk
2¼ tsp active dry yeast
¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
¼ cup (55 g) unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
1 tsp salt
For the Cinnamon Filling
½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup (150 g) brown sugar
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
For the Cream Cheese Frosting
4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1–2 tbsp milk
👩‍🍳 Full Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes, until foamy.
Add the melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Roll the dough into a large rectangle, about ¼ inch (6 mm) thick.
Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the butter.
Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal rolls.
Arrange the rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cover and let them rise for another 45–60 minutes, until puffy.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown.
Meanwhile, beat the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth and creamy.
Spread the frosting generously over the warm cinnamon rolls.
