🍪 Butter Cookies

Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour (about 375 g)
1 cup softened butter (225 g)
¾ cup sugar (150 g)
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoons milk, or as needed
Instructions:
In a bowl, beat the softened butter with the sugar until smooth and creamy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Add the milk little by little until you have a soft, firm dough.
Shape the dough into a ball, cover it, and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to medium thickness.
Cut the dough using a decorative round cookie cutter, then make small holes on the surface of each cookie with a wooden skewer.
Arrange the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for 12–15 minutes, or until lightly golden around the edges.
Allow the cookies to cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.
✨ Result: Buttery, crispy, delicious homemade cookies—perfect with a cup of tea or coffee! ☕🍪
