¼ cup (57g) melted butter
1 large egg
1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
For the Filling
½ cup (113g) softened butter
½ cup (100g) brown sugar
1½ tbsp (10g) ground cinnamon
¼ cup (30g) colorful sprinkles
For the Creamy Frosting
4 oz (113g) cream cheese, softened
¼ cup (57g) softened butter
1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
1–2 tbsp (15–30ml) milk
Extra colorful sprinkles, for decorating
👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough
In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, until slightly foamy.
Add the egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  2. Let the Dough Rise
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  3. Make the Filling
Roll the dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough.
Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle evenly over the butter.
Scatter the colorful sprinkles over the filling.
  4. Roll & Cut
Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough into a log.
    Cut into 9–12 equal pieces.
Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish, leaving a little space between them.
Cover and let them rise again for 30–45 minutes.
  5. Bake
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Bake the cinnamon rolls for 20–25 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Tip: Don’t overbake them. Removing them when they’re just lightly golden helps keep them soft and fluffy.
  6. Make the Frosting
Beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
Add the milk 1 tablespoon at a time until you reach your preferred frosting consistency.
  7. Frost & Decorate
Spread the creamy frosting generously over the warm cinnamon rolls.
Finish with plenty of colorful sprinkles. 🌈✨
Serve warm and enjoy these soft, buttery, fun-filled cinnamon rolls! 🍥💖
