Ingredients
2 tablespoons fresh aloe vera gel
1 teaspoon raw honey
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon plain unsweetened yogurt — optional, for a creamier texture
½ teaspoon oat flour or finely ground oats — optional, if you prefer a slightly thicker mask
🥄 Instructions
Prepare the aloe vera
If using fresh aloe vera, scoop out the clear inner gel and make sure there is no yellow latex remaining. Mash or blend the gel until smooth.
Combine the ingredients
Add the aloe vera gel, honey, and turmeric to a clean glass bowl. If using yogurt, add it at this stage.
Mix well
Stir everything together until you have a smooth, creamy mixture with an even golden color.
Prepare the skin
Wash the underarm area gently with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser. Pat completely dry. Avoid applying the mixture immediately after shaving or on irritated skin.
Apply a thin layer
Using clean fingertips or a clean cosmetic brush, spread a thin layer over the underarm area. Avoid applying it to cuts, scratches, or broken skin.
Leave it on
Let the mask sit for approximately 10–15 minutes. You do not need to let it dry completely.
Rinse gently
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and gently pat the skin dry with a clean towel.
Moisturize
If your skin feels dry afterward, apply a simple, fragrance-free moisturizer.
💛 How Often to Use
For a simple skincare routine, you can try it once a week and see how your skin responds. More frequent use isn’t necessarily better.
⚠️ Important Notes
Always perform a patch test on a small area first, especially if you have sensitive skin.
Stop using it if you experience burning, significant redness, itching, or irritation.
Turmeric can temporarily stain skin or clothing, so use a small amount and rinse thoroughly.
Avoid applying the mixture immediately after shaving or waxing.
If persistent darkening, itching, pain, rash, or irritation concerns you, it’s better to speak with a dermatologist rather than relying on a homemade recipe.
