🥔 Ingredients
1 medium fresh potato
2 tablespoons plain, unsweetened yogurt
1 teaspoon raw honey
1 tablespoon finely ground oats or oat flour
1 teaspoon aloe vera gel, optional
1–2 teaspoons clean water, only if needed to adjust the consistency
🥣 Instructions
- Prepare the Potato
Wash and peel 1 medium potato thoroughly. Grate it finely using a clean grater.
Place the grated potato in a clean bowl and gently squeeze out some of the excess liquid. Keep the grated potato soft and moist rather than completely dry. - Make the Mask
Add the grated potato to a small mixing bowl.
Add:
2 tablespoons plain yogurt
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon oat flour
1 teaspoon aloe vera gel, if using
Mix everything thoroughly until you have a smooth, creamy paste.
If the mixture feels too thick, add 1–2 teaspoons of water, a little at a time, until you reach a spreadable consistency. - Apply the Mask
Start with freshly cleansed skin.
Using clean fingers or a clean cosmetic brush, apply a thin, even layer to the face. Avoid the eye area, lips, eyebrows, and any cuts or irritated skin.
Do not rub or scrub the mixture into the skin. - Let It Sit
Leave the mask on for approximately 10–15 minutes.
If you experience burning, strong itching, redness, or discomfort, remove it immediately and rinse thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water. - Rinse
Gently rinse the mask away with lukewarm water.
Avoid aggressive rubbing, especially when removing the oats or potato. - Finish Your Routine
Pat the skin dry with a clean, soft towel.
Follow with your usual gentle moisturizer. If using the recipe during the daytime, finish with sunscreen as part of your normal skincare routine.
✨ Useful Notes
Make the mask fresh each time rather than storing leftovers.
Perform a small patch test before applying it to your entire face.
Avoid using it on broken, irritated, sunburned, or freshly exfoliated skin.
If you have sensitive skin, consider leaving out the honey and using only the potato, yogurt, and oats.
This is a cosmetic DIY mask, not a treatment for acne, pigmentation, wrinkles, or any medical skin condition.
Stop using it if your skin reacts negatively.
