Ingredients
For the Donuts:
1½ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
1½ teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 large egg
½ cup milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Vegetable oil, for frying
For the Honey Glaze:
¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup powdered sugar
2–3 tablespoons milk, as needed
Instructions
Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Mix the wet ingredients: In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Combine: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently mix until a soft, smooth batter forms. Do not overmix.
Shape the donuts: Transfer the batter to a piping bag. Pipe small circles onto parchment paper, leaving a hole in the center.
Fry: Heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Carefully fry the donuts in batches until golden brown on both sides, turning as needed.
Drain: Remove the donuts and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Let them cool slightly.
Make the glaze: Warm the honey and butter together in a small saucepan. Remove from heat, then whisk in the powdered sugar. Add milk little by little until you get a smooth, pourable glaze.
Glaze: Dip each donut into the warm honey glaze, coating it evenly.
Set: Place the glazed donuts on a wire rack and let the glaze set.
Serve: Enjoy these soft, golden, honey-glazed mini donuts while fresh! 🍩✨
