π©βπ³ Instructions
- Prepare the dough:
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Add the warm milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until a soft dough forms. - Knead:
Knead the dough for about 8β10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Cover with a clean towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size. - Shape the donuts:
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and roll it out to about Β½ inch (1.2 cm) thick. Cut into round donut shapes using a donut cutter or two round cutters. - Second rise:
Place the donuts on a lightly floured tray, cover, and let them rest for 20β30 minutes. - Fry:
Heat vegetable oil to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Fry the donuts in batches for about 1β2 minutes per side, until beautifully golden. Remove and place on paper towels to drain. - Make the milky filling:
Beat the cold heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Gradually add the condensed milk and continue beating until creamy and fluffy. - Fill the donuts:
Once the donuts have cooled completely, make a small hole on the side of each donut. Pipe the creamy milk filling inside until generously filled. - Finish:
Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with condensed milk or melted white chocolate if desired.
