Ingredients
For the dough:
- 3½ cups (440 g) all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2¼ tsp (7 g) instant yeast
- 1 cup (240 ml) warm milk
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup (60 g) melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the filling:
- ½ cup (100 g) softened butter
- ½ cup (100 g) brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup (150 g) raisins
For brushing:
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp milk

- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
- Add the warm milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1–1½ hours, or until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough into a large rectangle.
- Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon, then add the raisins.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut it into 10–12 equal pieces.
- Arrange the rolls in a greased baking pan, cover, and let them rise for another 30–45 minutes.
- Mix the egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of milk and brush the tops of the rolls.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly, then serve warm.
