π©βπ³ Instructions
- Make the Dough
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Add the warm milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough for about 8β10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rest in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size. - Roll Out the Dough
Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll it into a large rectangle, approximately ΒΌ inch (6 mm) thick. - Add the Filling
Spread the chocolate-hazelnut spread evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle the chopped roasted hazelnuts evenly over the chocolate. - Roll
Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the seam gently to seal it. - Slice
Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 8β10 thick pieces. Place the rolls cut-side up on a parchment-lined baking tray, leaving a little space between them.
Cover loosely and let them rest for another 20β30 minutes. - Brush
Whisk together 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of milk. Brush the tops of the rolls generously with the egg wash.
Sprinkle with a little extra chopped hazelnuts if desired. - Bake
Preheat the oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).
Bake for 20β25 minutes, or until the rolls are puffed and beautifully golden brown. - Serve
Remove from the oven and let them cool for 5β10 minutes.
Serve warm and enjoy the soft pastry, rich chocolate filling, and crunchy hazelnuts. π«π°π€
π‘ Tip: For an extra glossy finish, brush the warm rolls lightly with a little melted butter after baking.
