🍫✨ HOMEMADE WAFER BISCUITS

INGREDIENTS
2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
½ cup (113 g) melted butter
2 large eggs
1 cup (240 ml) milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup (about 150 g) chocolate spread or melted chocolate
👩‍🍳 METHOD

  1. Prepare the Batter
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add the eggs, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and fairly thin, with no lumps.
  2. Preheat the Wafer Iron
Preheat your wafer iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Lightly grease the plates with butter or oil if necessary.
  3. Cook the Wafers
Pour a small amount of batter into the center of the hot wafer iron and spread it into a thin, even layer.
Close the iron and cook until the wafer is light golden and crisp.
Carefully remove the wafer while warm and place it on a flat surface to cool completely. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  4. Add the Chocolate Filling
Once the wafers have cooled completely, spread a thin layer of chocolate spread over one wafer.
Place another wafer on top and gently press. Continue layering until all the wafers are stacked.
  5. Cut and Serve
Let the layered wafer set completely, then use a sharp knife to cut it into rectangles or squares.
Serve once completely crisp and enjoy! 🍫
