🌿 Homemade Aloe Vera & Sea Salt Skin Gel

A simple homemade skincare mixture made with aloe vera gel and a small amount of fine sea salt. It can be used as a refreshing, moisturizing-feeling skin treatment. This recipe does not claim to remove wrinkles or make skin look years younger; results can vary from person to person.

🧴 Ingredients

2 tablespoons pure aloe vera gel

¼ teaspoon fine sea salt

1 teaspoon distilled water, only if needed to thin the mixture

2–3 drops vegetable glycerin, optional, for a more moisturizing feel

🥣 Instructions

1. Prepare your bowl

Wash and completely dry a small glass mixing bowl and spoon before preparing the mixture.

2. Add the aloe vera

Place 2 tablespoons of pure aloe vera gel into the bowl. If using fresh aloe vera, use only properly prepared inner gel and avoid the yellow latex layer beneath the leaf skin.

3. Add the sea salt

Sprinkle in just ¼ teaspoon of fine sea salt. A very small amount is enough because salt can be irritating to sensitive skin.

4. Mix slowly

Stir the aloe vera and sea salt together for about 30–60 seconds until the mixture looks evenly combined.

5. Adjust the texture

If the mixture feels too thick, add a teaspoon of distilled water a few drops at a time and stir until you reach a smooth gel-like consistency.

6. Optional glycerin

Add 2–3 drops of vegetable glycerin if desired, then mix thoroughly.

7. Apply carefully

Cleanse your face and gently pat it dry. Apply a very thin layer to clean skin, avoiding the eyes, eyelids, lips, broken skin, and any irritated areas.

8. Leave it on briefly

For the first use, leave it on for about 5–10 minutes. If your skin feels burning, stinging, or uncomfortable, rinse it off immediately.

9. Rinse and moisturize

Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, pat your skin dry, and follow with your usual gentle moisturizer.
