Ingredients
½ cup uncooked white rice
1 cup filtered or distilled water
1 tablespoon plain, unsweetened kefir
1 teaspoon aloe vera gel, preferably pure and fragrance-free
½ teaspoon honey, optional
1 small clean glass bowl
1 fine-mesh strainer
1 clean cotton pad or soft facial cloth
Instructions
- Prepare the rice water
Place ½ cup of uncooked rice in a bowl and rinse it thoroughly with clean water. Add 1 cup of filtered or distilled water and let the rice soak for about 20–30 minutes. - Strain the rice water
Stir the rice gently, then strain the liquid into a clean glass container. Use only the liquid for this skincare recipe. - Prepare the mixture
Add 1 tablespoon of plain, unsweetened kefir to 2 tablespoons of the prepared rice water. Add 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel and, if desired, ½ teaspoon of honey.
Mix everything gently until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined. - Patch test first
Before applying it to your face, place a small amount on a small area of skin, such as the inside of your arm. Wait and check for irritation. If you experience burning, itching, redness, or discomfort, wash it off and do not use it. - Apply to the face
Cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser and pat dry. Apply a thin layer of the mixture to the face, avoiding the eyes, lips, broken skin, and irritated areas.
Leave it on for approximately 5–10 minutes. - Rinse thoroughly
Gently rinse your face with lukewarm water. Do not scrub the skin. Pat dry with a clean, soft towel. - Moisturize
Finish with your usual gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer. If you are going outside during the day, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen.
