Spring Rolls with Ground Beef and Vegetables Recipe

These crispy, savory spring rolls are filled with a delicious combination of ground beef, cabbage, carrots, and seasonings, all wrapped in a golden, crunchy shell. They make a perfect appetizer or snack for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package spring roll wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the filling:
    • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.
    • Add the garlic, onion, and carrots to the pan, and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until softened.
    • Stir in the shredded cabbage and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cabbage wilts down.
    • Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
  2. Assemble the spring rolls:
    • Lay a spring roll wrapper flat on a clean surface, with one corner facing you.
    • Place about 2 tablespoons of the filling in the center of the wrapper.
    • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly upwards to form a spring roll. Seal the edge with a little water.
  3. Fry the spring rolls:
    • Heat about 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat.
    • Carefully add the spring rolls to the hot oil in batches, frying them for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning them occasionally for even cooking.
    • Remove the spring rolls from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve the spring rolls hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet chili sauce or soy sauce.
