Spicy Dumplings in Savory Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack of dumpling wrappers
  • 200g ground pork or chicken
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp ginger (minced)

  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp chili paste or chili oil (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Extra chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Filling:
    In a bowl, combine the ground pork or chicken, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced ginger, minced garlic, and chopped green onions. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Form the Dumplings:
    Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Wet the edges with a bit of water and fold the wrapper in half, pinching the edges together to seal tightly. You can pleat the edges for a traditional dumpling shape if desired.
