🥕 Honey Garlic Glazed Carrots
Introduction
Honey Garlic Glazed Carrots are a simple yet elegant side dish that combines the natural sweetness of carrots with a rich, buttery garlic-honey glaze. Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 500 g (1 lb) baby carrots, peeled and trimmed
- 2 tbsp butter (or dairy-free alternative)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2–3 tbsp honey (or maple syrup)
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- ¼ tsp salt (or to taste)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the carrots
- Place carrots in a large pot of salted boiling water.
- Cook for 5–7 minutes until just tender but still slightly firm. Drain well.
- Prepare the glaze
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add sweetness
- Stir in honey, salt, and black pepper.
- Let the mixture bubble gently for 1–2 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Glaze the carrots
- Add the cooked carrots to the skillet.
- Toss well to coat them evenly in the honey-garlic mixture.
- Cook for another 3–4 minutes, allowing the glaze to cling to the carrots.
- Finish and serve
- Transfer the glazed carrots to a serving dish.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
