Crispy and Delicious Chicken Patties
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (you can use leftover chicken)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grated cheese (optional)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup finely chopped herbs (such as parsley or cilantro)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil or cooking spray for frying
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chicken Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, grated cheese (if using), chopped onions, chopped herbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Mix all ingredients together until well combined. The mixture should hold together well; if it’s too dry, you can add a little more egg or a tablespoon of water.
- Shape the Patties:
- Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. You should get around 10-12 patties, depending on the size.
- Cook the Patties:
- Heat a skillet or non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add a little olive oil or cooking spray to coat the bottom.
- Once the pan is hot, add the patties and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve:
- Remove the patties from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve the patties warm, with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a fresh salad.
