Recipe: Cheesy Meatballs

Introduction: These cheesy meatballs are the ultimate comfort food! A combination of savory ground meat, gooey cheese, and a crispy golden crust will make anyone weak in the knees. They’re perfect for a family dinner, parties, or as a snack your husband can’t resist.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing the tray)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef (or turkey), cheddar cheese, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly incorporated.
  3. Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a greased baking sheet or tray.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. After 20 minutes, remove the meatballs from the oven and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  6. Return the tray to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve hot, and watch your husband devour the whole tray!
