✨ DIY Toothpaste & Salt Hand-Care Scrub

Ingredients
1 teaspoon mild white toothpaste
1 tablespoon fine salt — avoid coarse crystals
1 teaspoon aloe vera gel
1 teaspoon olive oil or coconut oil
½ teaspoon honey — optional
A small bowl
A clean spoon
Warm water
A soft towel
Hand moisturizer for afterward
🥣 Instructions

  1. Prepare the mixture
Add the fine salt to a small, clean bowl. Add the toothpaste, aloe vera gel, and olive or coconut oil.
  2. Mix everything together
Stir slowly until the ingredients form a smooth, creamy scrub. If the mixture feels too thick, add a few drops of aloe vera gel or oil.
  3. Clean your hands
Wash your hands with lukewarm water and a gentle soap. Pat them dry, leaving the skin slightly damp.
  4. Apply gently
Take a small amount of the mixture and massage it over the backs of your hands and fingers using very light circular motions.
Do not scrub aggressively. Avoid cuts, irritated areas, broken skin, and the area around the nails if the skin is sensitive.
  5. Keep it brief
Massage gently for approximately 30–60 seconds. There is no need to leave the mixture on your skin for a long period.
  6. Rinse thoroughly
Wash your hands with lukewarm water until all of the mixture has been removed. Pat your hands dry with a soft towel.
  7. Moisturize
Apply a fragrance-free hand cream or moisturizer afterward to help keep your hands comfortable and hydrated.
    💡 Important Notes
Patch-test first on a small area of skin.
Toothpaste can contain ingredients that may irritate some people’s skin, so discontinue use if you experience burning, redness, itching, or discomfort.
Do not use this scrub on broken, sunburned, or irritated skin.
Avoid getting the mixture near your eyes.
Because salt is exfoliating, use this type of scrub occasionally rather than daily.
For very dry or sensitive hands, a gentle moisturizer alone may be a better option.
This homemade treatment should not be considered a treatment for wrinkles, dark spots, or other skin conditions, and dramatic “before-and-after” results should not be expected.
