Ingredients
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon plain, unsweetened yogurt
1 teaspoon pure aloe vera gel
½ teaspoon raw honey
2–3 drops of clean water, if needed to adjust the consistency
Instructions
Prepare your skin
Wash your face gently with a mild cleanser and pat dry. Avoid applying the mixture to irritated, broken, or sunburned skin.
Make the base
Add the yogurt, aloe vera gel, and honey to a small, clean bowl. Stir until the ingredients are completely combined.
Add the baking soda
Add the baking soda gradually while stirring. Continue mixing until you have a smooth, creamy paste.
Adjust the texture
If the mixture is too thick, add 1–2 drops of water at a time until it becomes easy to spread. Don’t make it overly runny.
Patch test first
Before using it on your face, apply a small amount to a discreet area of skin and wait to check for irritation or discomfort.
Apply gently
If your skin tolerates the patch test, apply a very thin layer to clean skin. Keep the mixture away from the eyes, lips, and other sensitive areas.
Leave on briefly
Leave the mask on for 3–5 minutes. Do not scrub, massage, or aggressively rub the mixture into your skin.
Rinse
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and gently pat your face dry with a clean towel.
Moisturize
Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer afterward to help keep your skin comfortable and hydrated.
Important Notes
Baking soda can be irritating because it is alkaline, especially for sensitive or dry skin.
Do not use this recipe on broken, irritated, or sunburned skin.
Stop using it if you experience burning, significant redness, itching, or irritation.
This is a homemade skincare idea, not a proven treatment for wrinkles, dark spots, or other skin conditions.
Prepare the mixture fresh and do not store leftovers, since it contains yogurt and fresh aloe.
