✨ Simple 2-Step Baking Soda Face Mask

Ingredients
1 teaspoon baking soda
1–2 teaspoons lukewarm water
1 teaspoon plain, fragrance-free moisturizer — optional, for after the mask
A small clean bowl
A clean mixing spoon
A soft washcloth
🧴 Full Recipe & Method
Step 1 — Make the mixture
Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda to a clean small bowl.
Add 1 teaspoon of lukewarm water.
Mix slowly until you get a smooth, thin paste.
If the mixture is too thick, add a few drops of water at a time until it reaches a creamy consistency.
Do not make a rough, grainy scrub.
Step 2 — Apply
Start with freshly washed, completely clean skin.
Apply a very thin layer to the cheeks or another small area of the face.
Avoid the eyes, eyelids, lips, and the delicate under-eye area.
Do not rub or scrub the skin.
Leave it on for 2–3 minutes only the first time.
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Pat your face dry gently with a clean towel.
Apply a simple, fragrance-free moisturizer afterward.
⚠️ Important Notes
Baking soda is alkaline and can irritate or dry out facial skin, so don’t leave it on for hours or overnight.
Do a small patch test first.
Stop immediately if you experience burning, significant redness, swelling, or itching.
Don’t use it on broken, sunburned, irritated, or freshly exfoliated skin.
Don’t use it as a daily facial scrub.
Do not apply it directly around the eyes or under the eyes.
This recipe should be presented as a simple DIY skincare experiment; it isn’t proven to erase dark spots, wrinkles, or under-eye circles.
