🤎 Classic Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients
For the Dough:
4 cups (500 g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (240 ml) warm milk
2¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
¼ cup (55 g) unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
1 tsp salt
For the Filling:
½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup (150 g) brown sugar
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1–2 tbsp milk
👩‍🍳 Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes, until foamy.
Add the melted butter, egg, and salt. Gradually add the flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
Cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Roll the dough into a large rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly on top.
Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal rolls.
Place the rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for 45–60 minutes, until puffy.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.
Meanwhile, beat the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth and creamy.
Spread the frosting generously over the warm cinnamon rolls and serve fresh. 🤎✨
💡 Tip: For extra-soft and gooey cinnamon rolls, spread the cream cheese frosting over them while they’re still warm. 😍
