Ingredients
For the Rolls
4 cups (500 g) bread flour
2¼ tsp (7 g) instant yeast
¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup (240 ml) warm milk
1 large egg
¼ cup (60 g) unsalted butter, softened
For the Garlic Butter
4 tbsp (60 g) unsalted butter, melted
3 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
¼ tsp salt
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.
2. Add the warm milk, egg, and softened butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.
3. Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
4. Place it in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1–1½ hours, or until doubled in size.
5. Gently punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces.
6. Shape each piece into a smooth ball and arrange the balls in a lightly greased baking dish.
7. Cover and let them rise again for 30–45 minutes, until puffy.
8. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
9. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden.
10. While the rolls are baking, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt.
11. Brush the hot rolls generously with the garlic butter as soon as they come out of the oven.
12. Let them rest for a few minutes, then serve warm. 🧄🧈🍞
