Slow Cooker Pulled Pork (Sweet & Spicy)

Ingredients:
1.5โ€“2 kg (3โ€“4 lb) pork shoulder (or pork butt)
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
๐Ÿฏ Sauce / Glaze:
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup honey (or brown sugar)
3โ€“4 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿณย Instructions:
Season the pork
Rub the pork with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Place in slow cooker
Put the pork into the slow cooker. No need to add much liquidโ€”it releases its own juices.
Cook low & slow
LOW: 8โ€“10 hours
HIGH: 5โ€“6 hours
Until the meat is very tender and easy to shred.
Make the sauce
Mix BBQ sauce, honey, garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, and chili flakes.
Shred the pork
Use two forks to pull it apart inside the cooker.
Add the glaze
Pour the sauce over the shredded pork, mix well, and cook for another 20โ€“30 minutes so it absorbs everything.

Transfer to a baking dish
Broil in the oven for 5โ€“10 minutes until caramelized
