Corn & Meat Dumplings

Introduction

These Corn & Meat Dumplings are a delicious blend of juicy seasoned meat, sweet corn, and tender wrappers, pan-seared until golden and irresistibly crisp on the bottom. Comforting, flavorful, and perfect as an appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

  • 250 g ground meat (chicken, beef, or pork)
  • 1/2 cup sweet corn kernels
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Dumpling wrappers
  • 2 tbsp oil (for frying)
  • Water (for steaming)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground meat, corn, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  3. Fold and pleat the edges to seal.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and arrange dumplings flat-side down.
  5. Cook until bottoms are golden, then add a splash of water and cover.
  6. Steam for 5–7 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Uncover and cook briefly to re-crisp the bottoms. Serve hot.
